If you saw this announcement, then you “failed’ the DTV test. However, many outlying cable systems that don’t have a direct feed from the station (such as mine) still run the analog feed since their main digital feed does not yet simulcast the analog programming. It starts off as an advertisement for a Celtic Woman special, then to the DTV announcement, then to the next show.

Free over-the-air television is changing from traditional analog transmission to digital technology (DTV) on February 17, 2009 as required by law. After that date, some viewers with older TV sets may not be able to receive Channel 56. To receive the new digital television signals (DTV), you’ll need to take action.
